A Standard
After 911, we saw our nation turn to God in prayer; however, it was short lived. Today, we have a new President elect. Some in our nation today are happy and some are sad. No matter your position, our focus must be on what we as Christians have been called to do, which is to lift up our standard. We are called to lift up the name of Jesus. He is our standard. We cannot loose focus or let down our energy. We must pray for our nation and leaders, repent and share Jesus with the lost.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Isaiah wrote, “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him..” Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)
Today, lift up Jesus and keep praying that our nation will turn to God, who is our only hope.
