Authority

We all have authorities in our lives and we submit to those authorities either by conviction or constraint.  Authority is granted by God and we have the freedom to act in obedience to those who have received authority from God.  Before Jesus was born, Isaiah foretold that He would be our governor and would rule His people.  In these days, He either rules in our hearts or He doesn’t; however, there is coming a day when he will physically rule on the earth. .

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew wrote, “And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.” Matthew 2:4-6 (KJV)
