Days
Have you noticed how fast the days pass by; not to mention the months and years. My Mom says, “Life is like a roll of toilet paper; the closer you get to the end the faster it goes.” Let the truth of that soak in for a minute. The days pass so fast; so, what are we to do? The Psalmist wrote that we should ask God to teach us to number our days so we can gain wisdom. What does that mean? For me, it means, I should realize that my time on this earth is limited and by seeking God I will gain the wisdom needed to live a life that pleases Him.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 (NKJV)
Today and in this New Year, seek God and gain His wisdom for each day.
