Eternity

Eternity

How often do you think about what Christ has done to provide for your eternity?
All of our lives here on earth are but as a vapor – we appear for a short time and
then we are gone.  But where we go depends upon the decisions we make while
we are here.  I heard someone say once that if a dove’s wing brushed a steel ball
the size of the earth every thousand years, that when the steel ball disappeared,
the clock of eternity would have only passed one minute.  Paul reminds us of how
important it is for our faith to rest on the work of Christ.  Eternity, where will you
spend it?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “And now let me remind you [since it seems
to have escaped you], brethren, of the Gospel (the glad tidings of salvation) which I
proclaimed to you, which you welcomed and accepted and upon which your faith
rests, For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah,
the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold],
That He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold,”
1 Corinthians 15: 1,3-4 (AMPC)

Today, commit to where you will spend eternity.
