Love

Who or what do you love?  The word “love” has been used and abused by our culture.  We say we love various foods, clothes, items, pets and things in general.  All those things are temporary and will never last.  Perhaps we need to change our terminology and say we like those things.  John said, we are not to love the world nor the things that are in the world.  Then he tells us what the things of the world consists. 

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Joshua records, “Love not the world, neither the things that are  in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” 1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)

Today, choose to love the Lord and not the things of the world.
