Morning Thoughts – Friends

Friends

Do you have friends or are they acquaintances? An acquaintance is
someone who knows who you are; but, a friend is someone who knows
you faults, flaws and failures; and is there for you anyway. Jesus said
He called us friends and there was no greater love than that He lay down
His life for His friends. Wow, to be the friend of the creator of all that
we see is beyond comprehension. Yet, we are His friends.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants,
because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have
called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made
known to you. John 15:13-15 (NIV)

Today, let your friend and lover of your soul into your life and enjoy
His presence.
