Love

Who/What do you love? Have you ever said, “I love” a particular thing?
I’m as guilty as the next person who uses the word “love” for many things.
While, I believe we “like” many things, to “love” things is a sure path to
disaster. Things are temporal; but Love for God, who is love, is eternal.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “Love not the world, neither the
things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the
Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the
world.” 1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)

Today, Love not the things of this world; but love God, who is eternal.
