Power (Part 2)

Power

Have you ever doubted the power of God?  I have heard it said when the
Apostles died, that ended the age of miracles.  I have heard it said also, that
God is dead or that He set His creation in motion and has stepped away.
Well don’t you believe it.  He gave His son, Jesus Christ for His creation and
will never leave us helpless.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote “But mark this: There will be terrible
times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,
boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  
without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers
of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers
of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do
with such people.”  2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NIV)
