Doesn’t it sound good to think about living a quiet and peaceable life? Do you have one? Do you want one? It is possible to have a quiet and peaceable life. God’s word says in order to have a quiet and peaceable life, we must make petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings for all men and all who are in positions of authority. Are you motivated to pray for those in authority? Your prayers and the prayers of all saints of God lead to that quiet and peaceable life. Go for it.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Timothy records, “First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (AMPC)
Today, pray for those in authority that we may have a quiet and peaceable life.
