Speaking

How do we speak to one another?  Paul tells us we are to speak to one another with songs from our spirit.  What does that mean?  Are we to go around singing to each other?  Not necessarily.  We are to speak kindly to one another and make the joy in our hearts speak not only to each other but also to God and give Him thanks.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 5:19-20 (NIV)
