Faith

Have you ever thought about where you got your faith?  I don’t know of anyone who mustered up their own faith.  Not only is the grace to be saved a gift from God; so is our faith to believe.  Paul wrote, “For I say to every man that is among you, through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3 KJV)  After salvation, that faith which was deposited within each of us needs to grow and be strengthened.  We must do our part to feed that faith from God.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”  Ephesians 2:8,9 (NAS)
