Benefit #5 – Satisfy with Good (Part 3)

Benefit #5 – Satisfy with Good – Renewed Strength (Part 3)

When Moses sent the twelve spies into the Promised Land, only Joshua and Caleb returned with a positive report, believing God to help them take the Promised Land.  As such, all of the spies died in the wilderness wanderings except Joshua and Caleb.  Joshua led the children of Israel into the Promised Land and Caleb told Joshua, “And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old (85). As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. (Joshua 14:10-11).”  Caleb was as strong at 85 as he was at forty.  God keeps his promises – trust Him.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;  Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  Psalm 103:1-5   (KJV)

Today, Bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits.  Receive His benefit of being satisfied with good so your youth (strength) is renewed like the eagles.
