The Cross (Part 4)

The Cross (Part 4)

What does your cross look like?  When Jesus said to take up your cross and follow Him, it meant we are to die to self.  It is our reaction to the trials of life that reflects our dying to self.  When we remain faithful to Him during those trials, we are bearing our cross.  One of the differences between our cross and the cross of Christ is that Jesus is with us during our trials; however, God forsook Jesus because of the sin He was bearing for you and me.  Jesus was alone in His suffering.  We are never alone, when we belong to Jesus.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Mark wrote, “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Mark 8:34 (KJV)

Today, think about your cross in relation to the cross of Christ.
