Productive

Jesus told the story about the farmer who planted seeds and of the
types of soil on which each seed fell. He explained what happens to
the seeds in different soils. You and I are seeds planted in the garden
of God’s love, mercy and grace. The soil in which we are planted
determines the crop produced. Now in real life, if the soil is not good,
we feed it and nourish it. It is no different in our lives, we must be fed
the world of God in order to grow and be productive.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Mark recorded Jesus when He said, “The
thorny ground represents the hearts of people who listen to the Good
News and receive it, but all too quickly the attractions of this world and
the delights of wealth, and the search for success and lure of nice things
come in and crowd out God’s message from their hearts, so that no crop
is produced.” Mark 4:18-19 (TLB)
