Restoration

We restore buildings, automobiles and hopefully relationships.  It is relationships that are the most important.  There are many people who once attended church and were active in the ministry.  However, those folks for some reason or other left the church and began to live a worldly life.  They are in need of restoration.  According to Paul, it is up to us as the body of Christ to restore them with a gentle humble spirit.  Churches are not perfect, but churches are like hospitals for those in need of love, mercy and grace.  We have the opportunity to love like Jesus loves – without judgement.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit,  Paul wrote, “Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.” Galatians 6:1 (AMPC)

Today, reach out to someone in need of restoration.
