Desire
We desire many things – new clothes, new home, new furniture, new car, new boat and the list goes on. The Psalmist said there is none on the earth that he desired besides God because everything else fails. It seems that we desire everything else before we turn to God.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26 (NKJV)
Today, set your desire on God and let Him be your strength and portion forever.
