Rest

In the past people around the world had been so busy, there was little time to rest. After creation God rested. He also instructed the Israelites to rest their land every seven years and even had a year of Jubilee in which all debts were forgiven and the land rested.  Prior to this pandemic our world rarely rested.  Jesus encouraged all to “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Jesus knew rest was important for our mental and physical well-being. While some people are struggling with social isolation, think about this time as an opportunity to experience the rest of God.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews records, There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”  Hebrews 4:8-11 (KJV)

Today, draw near to God and He will give you rest.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.

Remember God Loves you and I Do Too.

Jesus is coming – are you ready?
